Six people entered our most memorable meal with Sauvignon Blanc competition this week! The lucky winner was drawn this morning and was Lynette Woodgate. Lynette’s best meal with Sauvignon Blanc, was a Poule A Pot (chicken in a pot) meal that she had at a french bistro in Akaroa many years back, divine! 1. Enjoyed our second bottle of Durvillea this week in our house last night!! Went beautifully with our lemon olive oil and dukkah and the lovely mild Blenheim evening.

  2. I first tried the Durvillea 2008 Sauvignon Blanc with my lovely wife Glenys a few months ago – I picked a couple of bottles up in the shop after attending a wine tasting at Cellar Masters and on arrival at home – Glenys said “Let’s open one now – and I of course said “Why Not?” so we did and we loved it !!!! Just by itself.

  3. the last time I had a glass of durvillea was during a visit to Meg and Henry’s Daniel Street flat, where Meg made a delicious savoury pie (despite a slightly burnt top).

  4. The last time I had the pleasure of drinking durvillea wine was last year when my friend Cushla ordered a case. We would enjoy our wine in the sunny garden after a long day at work..

  5. The last Durvillea sav I had, I took a bottle along to Full Code Press which I was volunteering at, so I had t drink it out of a plastic cup, but it was worth it to be part of such a choice event! The last Durvillea Pinot Noir I had was used to lure my sisters to my house to help me pack up my posessions so I could move.

  6. I also was introduced to Durvillea by the wonderful hostess Miss Jo, at her Pretty Pretty Pretty party. It was a lovely day to have beautiful wine, with facials, foot baths and foot massages!

  7. I was lured to my girlfriend’s sister’s house on the promise of Durvillea Pinot Noir, and was then beguiled into helping her pack up her possessions so she could move. It was totally worth it :-) Thanks Jo!

  8. Honestly i have never actually tried Durvillea wine… but saying that i should say YET!!!!! I am currently here with my partner from Australia who is working here for 2 years and i have booked for us to go for “Dinner with the Stars” at Mt Hutt Ski Field booked for 6th August!! Its a surprise to thank him and ive requested a wine list to arrange for a bottle of wine to be on our table for arrival…. so my first experience of your fine wine will be on top of Mt Hutt in the snow looking at the stars, with huski dogs, log fire and a man i truely love.
So even though i havent tried it yet what better setting can i ask for to drink fine wine, eat fine food and be child free for a night….. so does this still qualify!!!!

    • You most definitely qualify Caroline, sounds divine! Have a great night and let us know how it goes. You are in the draw to win 6 bottles of Durvillea wine, drawn this Wednesday. Sophie

  9. The last time we had a bottle of Durvillea Sauv Blanc was a few months ago whilst having a late afternoon picnic on the shore of Lake Wanaka. Was a great surprise to see Wanaka Fine Wines stocked your wines. Only let down was that they didn’t have any of your pinot!

  10. The last time I had a Durvillea wine was the lovely bottle of Pinot Noir given to me on my birthday back in April! Yum Yum, great way to celebrate getting old(er)! About time to enjoy another I think!

  11. Spotted the Sauv Blanc on special in the Dunedin New World so stocked up and had a few relaxing mid-week glasses last Wednesday! Perfect!
