We are only three days into the week and it already feels like so much has happened that we should be at the end!
I am into my third week being back in the office after three weeks away in South East Asia, I had a fabulous time starting at the top of Laos and travelling right down to the bottom and then into Cambodia. They are both amazing countries, and I recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting either of these places, the scenery, people and food are all incredible!
While I was away Jane covered for me, it seems we had a lot of exports and other things going on, so she was rather busy by the sounds of things, she did a great job, and I am very grateful to her!
A few things have happened for Durvillea in the last few weeks. One is that all three Durvillea Wines are now available up at Mt Hutt Ski Field, so you can now enjoy a glass of Durvillea up the mountain.
The second thing is that we had a great review from Yvonne Lorkin for both our Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. She named our 2008 Sauvignon Blanc as wine of the week a couple of weeks ago on her National radio show, and then last Friday mentioned that our 2009 Pinot Grigio was “possibly one of the best Pinot Gris I have ever tried” (http://bit.ly/d57THw)
The third thing was that as we started to get organised for another promotion on facebook we had it pointed out to us by a kind twitter follower that there are in fact Facebook guidelines against the sort of promotion we were planning to run, which was a bit of a surprise to us! For more information on these guidelines visit http://bit.ly/93IFYq With social marketing, things are always changing and evolving and since these guidelines have been set in place by Facebook, we are going to follow them.

I love drinking Pinot Noir when the weather is totally appalling (thanks for delivering on that front Wellington!), the fire’s well-stoked and the cat’s asleep on the hearth. So heartening!
Take one tough day, welcoming you home is a roaring fire warm slippers and hot bath, followed by nice cheddar cheese and smooth pinot Noir!
My favourite way to enjoy Pinot Noir is in a glass
I love nothing more than a couple of our fantastic kiwi Pinot Noirs decanted (& warmed a bit in the current climate) with oven baked Salmon fillet – a selection of crispy roasted veges shared with a few friends, followed by an evening of good chat, laughs and maybe another couple of bottles of Pinot? Is that too greedy? JB
yo my fav way to drink pinot noir is in the sounds while the sun is setting with salty hair and skin under warm clothes after a long day of fine entertaining with best marlborough friends! x
Favourite way to drink Pinot Noir is any occasion, whether with a nice meal, a afternoon or evening with friends, curled up in front of the fire or a day at the beach or the kiwi holiday home, its a wine that suitable for any occasion
Sitting outside in the afternoon sun in mid-winter Sydney, and listening to the Modern Lovers. That is the best way to enjoy a glass of Pinot Noir.
I love a nice Pinot Noir with a beautiful roast lamb bought from Meaters of Blenheim on a cold, wintery Saturday night. Bliss.
In Central Otago in summertime at the end of a packed day of fun. The day has been hot but now as it departs it leaves just a dry and weary warmth.
The kids are in bed and all is quiet – just Rebecca and me and a bottle of wine. We’re watching the sun set.
As the sun goes down behind the mountains to the west the last rays catch the ruby Pinot in my glass. A red shimmer plays across my hands.
And at that very moment everything makes sense: the world is righted; the day is complete; and the Pinot, whosoever’s it is, is the best I’ve ever had.
I was lucky enough to try a Durvillea Pinot Noir after a friend of mine from NZ brought some over to S.Aust. Knowing that NZ is famous for it’s Pinot, I decided to save it for a special occasion. When my daughter was born 2 weeks ago, and mummy was ready for her first glass of wine in nearly 10 months, we opened the Durvillea Pinot and thouroughly enjoyed it. Relaxing at home with my 2 beautiful girls, eating homemade pizzas and listening to music is my favorite way to enjoy a glass of Pinot!
